Our Rainbow After The Storm

A little update on my personal life: We were blessed with a beautiful little girl, Isabella Marie on December 31, 2023. After Cooper, life was difficult but we did not give up. Isabella weighed 6lbs 10oz (Cooper’s birthday was 6-10). We were at Brandon’s parents house for a Christmas party when my water broke. We were two hours away from home and it was during a snowstorm so we were forced to go to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. Both Brandon and I were born at that hospital 30+ years ago. When Isabella was born her umbilical cord was wrapped 3 times around her neck but god knew how much we needed her here and she had no problems with coming into this world.

“I’m very comfortable talking about our story and would share my story with anyone who wants to hear it. I know what it’s like to be stuck in the coldest, darkest parts of life and just the smallest light will get you to the through the storm. If my story can give someone else a glimmer of hope, then I believe it's worth sharing. Life is a journey filled with twists and turns, highs and lows, and sometimes it's the unexpected moments that shape us the most. By opening up and sharing our experiences, we not only connect with others on a deeper level but also offer a beacon of inspiration.” - Abby Maloney

This year is my year!

2022 was definitely not my year. the tragedies that had happened over the year isn’t what will define me! I will move forward but I won’t let this past year be for nothing! My goals are to make child loss less taboo, make it easier for women who have lost a child get their child’s SSN, and to spread awareness about anencephaly. The more we understand about this world the easier it is to live through it. I know these are big steps and it might take a tsunami to actually move mountains but it’s worth it!
